Grant Park Neighborhood – Your New Home
The Lindley Team at Mortgage Express | 503.517.8641
Grant Park is a neighborhood in the Northeast section of Portland. Grant Park is bordered by the neighborhoods of Alameda and Beaumont-Wilshire to the north, Rose City Park to the east, Hollywood District, Laurelhurst, and Sullivan’s Gulch to the south, and Irvington to the west.
The neighborhoods are family orientated, with gorgeous streets and homes as well as outstanding public schools. Centered in town is the famous Grant Park which is 20 acres filled with sports fields, an outdoor pool, picnic areas, mature trees, bike baths and the Beverly Cleary Sculpture Garden since many scenes from her books take place in Grant Park. From the park you can walk to nice restaurants and shops.
Grant Park is a convenient suburb to live in if you work in downtown Portland. Public transportation is good as well and you have the benefits of living in a quality neighborhood while enjoying what the city has to offer. Housing prices are on the higher end compared to many of Portland suburbs but you get what you pay for and with Grant Park, you get a lot. Grant Park features classic style homes to Craftsman, cottage, Cape Cod, and bungalows. Most homes sell well above $400,000 and they retain their value as evidenced below by the ‘Grant Park Home Prices.’
